joecropxmasNew TV episode will  feature the ‘Planting Christmas’ project

Interest in our Planting Christmas native Christmas tree project has been growing, and we’re now working on creating an educational, entertaining video segment for inclusion in Maui’s community-contributed news magazine show, The Maui Daily. The series airs on Akaku’s Channel 54, and also posts to www.akaku.org

Next week, company founder Joseph Imhoff will sit in as host of the weekly show, which will include a self-produced video segment highlighting the importance of planting native vegetation in the Hawaiian islands.

“In my opinion,” Imhoff shares, “anyone who lives here has a responsibility to leave this place better than when we found it. Even if we own land here, we’re just taking care of it for a while. We pass it on to future generations, so we must be responsible caretakers. With the ‘Planting Christmas’ project, we’re asking the question, ‘why not plant your Christmas tree’, and make it an indigenous one?”
